Cheap Online Shopping Guide

Hi lovelies!

Since I've been getting lots of questions about how to order from Aliexpress  I decided to put together the ultimate guide to cheap online shopping.

I started shopping on Aliexpress last year when I discovered that you can get iPhone cases and jewelry for a few cents and they're the same quality as if you'd buy them in store here. Many of the retailers that sell phone cases and other accesories actually buy their stuff from China for about 10% of what they end up selling them for. Shocking, right? That's why I refuse to buy a 15 euro fake iPhone charger if I can get it for 1 euro on Aliexpress.

The only downside to ordering from China is the shipping time. Because the product is shipped by air from China it has to go through chinese and our customs and it can get stuck at some point. If you order phone cases or any other smaller items that you don't have to pay shipping for chances are that the shipping will take much longer. The only reason why sellers can afford to offer free shipping for such small items is because they often wait to have enough small packages to they can fill up the plane and ship them all together to lower the costs - meaning your items won't be shipped asap.

I got a lot of questions on my instagram on how to order legit products from Aliexpress. Here are some of the steps that you need to follow in order to get what you pay for:

1. Check the feedback

I would never order an item that has no reviews. Many of the customers also post pictures of what the product really look like and describe the quality and differences from the seller's photo. The more reviews the better. Make sure to take some time and do some research before buying.

2. Compare the prices

I've seen a lot of sellers selling the same items for different prices so you should always scroll to the bottom of the page and check out the More products section. There you can find products of the same quality but much cheaper.

3. Watch out for shipping costs

Some sellers also lower the prices of their products but end up charging you 10 euros or more for shipping. Always look for products with free shipping since there are so many of them out there.

Now on to the questions that some of you sent me on instagram:

1. How long does the shipping take?

Example of tracking info for a product

The duration of the shipping varies with every product. I have received some packages in 10 days and other in over a month. It's not always the sellers fault that your packages take so long to arrive - the customs can hold up your packages for a few days as well. I'd say that the standard delivery time for shipments from China is from 15-30 days (excludes processing time). Just be patient, it's not like you're ordering something from inside Europe.

2. How is the sizing

Example of a size chart (differs from product to product)

Ordering clothing and shoes from China can be quite tricky. Almost every seller posts a sizing chart under the products description with measurements so you can get your size right. They won't refund you if you order the wrong size so be careful.
P.S.: Please don't send me your height and weight and ask for help. I don't work for them so I'm not obliged to help you with that. Measure yourself and check which size is right for you.

That's it for this post, I hope I covered all of your questions. If you're interested I can also write a blogpost with my favorite Aliexpress finds!

Thank you for reading xx
